Section Council of Chiefs Meeting #0.5 (2026-2027)

April 18 @ 11:00 pm - April 19 @ 12:00 am

The Section Council of Chiefs (COC) Meeting is a key leadership gathering within the Order of the Arrow at the section level, bringing together lodge chiefs, section officers, and their advisers to plan, coordinate, and strengthen OA programs across the section. Typically held multiple times a year, these meetings serve as a collaborative forum where youth leaders review progress, share best practices, and align efforts to support lodges and Arrowmen.

A primary focus of the COC Meeting is planning major section events, most notably the annual section conclave, along with developing training opportunities, communications strategies, and program initiatives that enhance the OA experience at the local level. Lodge chiefs provide updates on their units, discuss challenges and successes, and work together to identify ways to improve membership engagement, induction quality, and leadership development.

The Section Council of Chiefs Meeting reinforces the OA’s commitment to youth-led leadership by empowering lodge and section officers to make decisions, set goals, and carry forward the mission of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service. Through open dialogue and shared planning, the COC ensures that lodges within the section remain connected, supported, and equipped for success.
